Black Friday ad examples: 6 Facebook ads from BFCM 2025, decoded
6real Black Friday Facebook ads from BFCM 2025, each pulled from Meta's Ad Library and taken apart: the creative, the hook, the offer, the flight dates, the reach Meta discloses, and the mechanic that makes it work. Three arrive disguised as something other than an ad; three build a machine around the offer. Every example links to its Ad Library record, so you can check it yourself, and to its full teardown.
Looking for numbers rather than examples — when brands launched, how deep they discounted, how many variations they ran? That's the BFCM 2025 Meta ads study: 43 brands from “best Black Friday ads” roundups checked against the Ad Library, 22 verified. Two chapters answer the most-asked questions directly: when Black Friday ads start and how deep the discounts go.
By Denzel Geng · Ad Library snapshot Sep 1, 2026 · Meta discloses no spend or ROAS for commercial ads, so this is an editorial selection, argued from reach, flight dates and campaign structure.
The 30-second version
Glossier — Borrowed App Chrome: “glossier black friday (!!!)” (455K UK reach, this creative)
True Classic — Confessional Fake: “You know that clothing brand True Classic you were looking at the other day? I've just…” (33K EU reach, one variant)
Beautiful Earth Boutique — Staged Accident: “SOMEONE LEAKED OUR BLACK FRIDAY SALE EARLY. So now... You can get our waterproof jewel…” (15.9K reach, featured creative)
Hismile — Riddle-Gated Deal: “🔥 VAULT CLOSING SOON🔥” (101K UK reach, this creative)
BabySam — Two-Rung Ladder: “🎁 Præmier for over 18.000 kr. ⚡️ LYN LIVE-PRISER til de hurtigste” (24.5K DK reach, main event ad)
Nordic Nest — Translatable Pun: “The wait is over – your favourite design just got tagged.” (78K SE reach, single product creative)
Disguised as something other than an ad
Three ads that borrow the look of something you already trust in your feed — a notes app, a text from a friend, a sale that wasn't meant to go live — so the frame does the work before the offer shows up.
1. Glossier: Borrowed App Chrome
Static imageBeautyNotes App Screenshot
The hook
“glossier black friday (!!!)”
FormatStatic image styled as an iOS Notes app screenshot · Shop now CTA · routes to the full shop-all catalog, no dedicated landing page
Flight windowNov 24 – Dec 3, 2025 (this creative) · overall campaign Nov 20 – Dec 4, 2025 across ~21 ad units
OfferUp to 30% off eligible purchases sitewide, plus a staggered free gift at £100+ (Ultralip, then Cloud Paint, on different days)
Reach (UK, this creative)454,544 · near-even split between women 18–24 (178,273) and women 25–34 (162,403)
Why it works
Dress the ad creative as a screenshot of a personal note or checklist — reuse the exact chrome of a real phone app (back button, share icon, menu) so the frame itself signals "not an ad," then fill it with the product nicknames a genuine customer would actually use.
“You know that clothing brand True Classic you were looking at the other day? I've just got an ad from them, they've got a 70% off sale for Black Friday!!! 🤩🤩🤩”
FormatStatic image styled as an iPhone Messages screenshot · Shop now CTA · routes to specific product bundle pages
Flight windowOct 31 – Dec 4, 2025 across all four waves
Offer25% off sitewide (early-bird) escalating to up to 70% off (main sale), discount applied automatically, no code required
Reach (EU, this creative)33,105 · heavily male-skewed, delivered across nearly all 25 EU markets simultaneously (not geo-split)
Why it works
Disguise the ad as a screenshot of a friend's text message, complete with the platform's own reaction-emoji UI, and let the message text openly reference "getting an ad" — the confession itself is what makes the fake feel authentic.
“SOMEONE LEAKED OUR BLACK FRIDAY SALE EARLY. So now... You can get our waterproof jewelry bundle - 70% OFF. It wasn't supposed to go live yet, but here we are...”
Frame a real discount as an accident — something that "wasn't supposed to go live yet" — instead of announcing it as a planned sale. It lets a steep, unremarkable discount skip the usual justification while still running underneath a real, structured multi-wave campaign.
Three campaigns where the ad is one part of a bigger structure: a sale you have to solve, a sale you have to show up for, and one pun launched into nine languages on the same day.
4. Hismile: Riddle-Gated Deal
VideoPersonal carePrice-Capped Vault
The hook
“🔥 VAULT CLOSING SOON🔥”
FormatVideo · Shop Now CTA · routed to a Vault collection page (hismileteeth.com/products/the-vault/, now 404 — the promo has since been retired)
Flight windowNov 18 – Dec 3, 2025 across all three Vault lifecycle stages
OfferSitewide items capped at $10 (specific items priced $3–$5), plus a riddle-gated $59 electric toothbrush for $1
Reach (UK, this creative)100,572 · heavily skewed toward men 18–34 (38,831 alone in men 18–24)
Why it works
Cap every item in a sale at a specific low price, restock it on a real repeating schedule, and gate the single best deal behind a puzzle instead of a markdown — so claiming it reads as winning, not buying.
“🎁 Præmier for over 18.000 kr. ⚡️ LYN LIVE-PRISER til de hurtigste”
FormatImage creative · no external landing page for this unit — routes to the native Facebook Event page
Flight windowNov 26–28, 2025, building to the livestream itself on Nov 27 at 19:30
OfferA hosted livestream ("BLACK FRIDAY LIVE") with a named 18,000+ kr prize pool and flash live-only pricing, layered on top of a sitewide 20%+ discount
Reach (Denmark, this creative)24,535 · strongly female-skewed (women 25–34 alone: 15,027 of the total)
Why it works
Stage a smaller preview livestream weeks before the sale to build an RSVP list, then a bigger flagship livestream on the day itself with a named prize pool and flash-only pricing — using the platform's native Event RSVP button as the entire notification channel instead of building a custom signup flow.
“The wait is over – your favourite design just got tagged.”
FormatStatic product photography with "BLACK WEEK" tag branding · "Shop Now" CTA · routes to nordicnest.se
Flight windowNov 11 – Dec 3, 2025 for the main reveal wave; a pre-sale waitlist ad ran Sep 19, 2025 – Mar 31, 2026; a Winter Sale wave followed Dec 18, 2025 – Jan 6, 2026
OfferUp to 70% off, unchanged across every language variant; a separate flat 20-70% "Winter Sale" follows in December
Reach (Sweden, this creative)77,540 · heavily female-skewed (e.g. 25–34: 18,732 women vs 647 men)
Why it works
Build your reveal around one wordplay that survives translation, launch it simultaneously across every language market with a literal visual of the same pun, and apply the branding to real catalog product photography rather than one generic sale graphic.
How to find Black Friday ads in Meta's Ad Library yourself
Open the brand's official Page, not a keyword search. Search the advertiser, pick its verified Page, and work inside that listing. Regional Pages and Pages renamed after an acquisition are the usual reasons a brand seems to have run nothing.
Include ended ads. Black Friday flights end in early December; set the status filter to all ads (active_status=all), or you only see what is running today.
Search the brand's own sale wording.“black friday” misses localized campaigns: Nordic Nest ran “Black Week,” and the literal phrase surfaced 4 of its roughly 29 campaign ads.
Read the dates and the version count. Each ad shows when it started and stopped; a creative duplicated into many versions is one the brand kept scaling.
Expect reach only for the UK and EU. Ads delivered there disclose per-country reach; US-only ads disclose none, and no commercial ad discloses spend.
The BFCM 2025 study runs this check on 43 brands and links the receipt for each one.
Black Friday ad examples: common questions
What are good examples of Black Friday Facebook ads?
Six from BFCM 2025, each verified in Meta's Ad Library: Glossier's fake iPhone Notes checklist (454,544 UK reach on one creative), True Classic's fake text message, run through a multi-wave discount escalation, Beautiful Earth Boutique's "someone leaked our sale" hook, Hismile's riddle-gated $1 toothbrush vault, BabySam's two-livestream RSVP funnel in Denmark, and Nordic Nest's one-pun launch in nine-plus languages. Each links to its Ad Library record and a full teardown.
Are these Black Friday ads still running?
No. These are BFCM 2025 creatives — the earliest went live on October 29, 2025 — and every one showed as ended in the Ad Library snapshot behind these pages (September 1, 2026). Meta's Library drops ended ads over time, so an individual ad link can come up empty; the advertiser's Page listing in the Library is the durable record.
How were these six examples chosen?
Editorially. Meta discloses no spend or ROAS for commercial ads, so no public list of "best" Black Friday ads is a sales ranking. These six were picked from the BFCM 2025 campaigns ViralMojo verified, and argued from the evidence Meta does disclose: UK/EU reach, flight dates, how many versions of a creative were run, and how the campaign was structured.
When should Black Friday ads start, and how deep do brands discount?
That's a data question, answered in ViralMojo's BFCM 2025 Meta ads study: across 20 verified campaigns with clean flight windows, the median start was November 6 and 30% were live by October 31; across the nine with a verifiable percentage in the ad copy, the median peak discount was 48%.
Your niche ran ads like these last November.
ViralMojo finds your competitors' longest-running ads and runs this same teardown on them — hooks named, structures mapped, claims checked — then writes yours in your customers' own words.
ViralMojo finds what's winning around your brand — organic and paid — decodes each winner the way these pages do, and writes the hooks and scripts in your customers' own words. It's a paid workspace, no free tier.
