How do I find winning ads in my niche?

By Denzel Geng · Updated October 30, 2026

Open the free Meta Ad Library, search a product word your customers use, and open the Pages of the brands that keep coming up. A winning ad is one that has run for 30 days or more and that the brand runs in more than one version: both mean the brand keeps paying for it. Save three to five of those, then make your own version of each.

How to find them, step by step

About ten minutes for the first brand, two or three for each one after that. Everything here is free and public.

  1. 1

Search your category in the Meta Ad Library

Go to the Meta Ad Library, set the country to where you sell and the category to All ads, and search the exact phrase a customer would type, such as "pimple patches". The advertisers that keep coming up are the ones spending in your niche.

  2. 2

Open each brand's Page and filter to older ads

Pick a brand from the Advertisers list to see everything it runs. Set Impressions by date to end 30 or more days ago and keep Active ads on: what's left is every ad that was already running a month ago and still is.

  3. 3

Check versions and skip low-impression ads

A line like "2 ads use this creative and text" means the brand copied the same creative into another ad, which means more budget behind it. Skip any card labelled "Low impression count": Meta has barely shown it, whatever the start date says.

  4. 4

Add TikTok Creative Center for format ideas

TikTok's Top Ads dashboard is free and filters by region and industry. It tells you which formats work in your category on TikTok, alongside what each competitor runs on Meta.

  5. 5

Save three to five, and mix the formats

For each ad keep the link, days live, versions, landing page and hook. Pick ads aimed at the buyer you sell to, and mix one video, one static and one creator-style ad so your versions test different things.

What each signal on the ad card tells you

The Ad Library shows no spend or sales for product ads, so these are the public signals that a brand keeps paying for an ad.

SignalWhere you see itWhat it means
Days live"Started running on" date on the cardThe brand has paid for every day it delivered. Past 30 days, it has outlasted the tests launched beside it.
More than one version"N ads use this creative and text"The brand put the same creative into more ads, with more budget behind it.

A real example: one price line, about 93 ads

Quince

Catalog ad · price comparison

“Their best sale price is still more than ours.”

Earliest ad with this line: 271 days live (since Dec 27, 2025), as of Sep 24, 2026. The ad linked here: 194 days.

Quince lays one sentence over its product feed and runs it on everything from a maternity hoodie to a 14K ring. About 93 active ads carried the line on September 24, 2026, and every one we pulled was still live. That's both signals at once: a long run and many versions. If you sell on price against bigger brands, it's one to keep.

Where to find more examples by category

If you'd rather start from ads someone has already sorted, static ad examples groups 22 long-running Meta statics from 17 brands into 7 formats, UGC ad examples sorts 37 creator-style video ads by format, and the teardowns take single winning ads apart, from the hook to the landing page.

Once you have your three to five, keep what's working in each one (the hook, the format, the layout) and put your product and your offer in it: as a static, or as a video with your product in every frame.

Yes. The Meta Ad Library is free and open to anyone at facebook.com/ads/library, with no Facebook login or ad account needed. It shows every ad currently running on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Threads in the country you pick.

No, not for product ads. Meta publishes spend only for ads about social issues, elections or politics. For product ads, the closest public signals are how long an ad has run and how many ads use the same creative.

Three to five is enough to start. Pick ones that pass both signals (30+ days, more than one version), sell to the same buyer you sell to, and cover different formats, so the versions you make test different ideas.
